Furniture Sliders Reviews

Literary Titan Review

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Furniture Sliders is a post-war spy-fi romp that kicks off The Bureau Archives Trilogy with a smoky, rain-slicked bang.... The novel threads together espionage, noir atmosphere, and science-fiction intrigue, with time manipulation simmering under its cloak-and-dagger surface.... I loved how this book felt.  I was hooked.  Even the side characters, like the poison-bead-wielding Bishop, feel like they’ve stepped out of their own fully formed novellas.  It’s atmospheric, it’s clever, and it leaves you wanting the next mission right away.

Kirkus Review

Bentley does a deft job of keeping the many narrative threads straight, and the story flows well, as do its action sequences. The SF elements are solid: the Mirror is described in fascinating detail, and the ideas behind it are explored thoroughly but not overwhelmingly ... This inventive novel displays a lot of potential.

It's like going on one roller coaster ride after another.  Like being on Space Mountain multiple times with more and more loop the loops!  You have to take breaks and put the book down for a while in between!  Very intriguing and very captivating!

Loved it.  Couldn't put the book down!  The characters, the detailed descriptions of people and places transported me to them.  I loved the dialogue and was challenged to keep up with the quantum aspects of the story.  I also marvel at its many twists and turns.  So captivating, entertaining and cerebrally challenging.

This is a must read historical thriller!  The war may be over, but the danger is just beginning.  Smoke-filled streets, shifting identities, and whispered betrayals - this Cold War thriller promises to pull you deep into the shadows of 1947.

The kind of sci-fi you can cruise through, enjoying the author's obvious talent for developing a plot and fleshing out characters and scenes.  You'll feel as though you've been to some of the locations, stepping back into the last century.
